Kerame town liberated by SDF fighters clearing the Raqqa road

SDF fighters in the Operation Wrath of Euphrates have cleared the Kerame town of ISIS gangs. Making further advances towards Raqqa, the fighters vowed to take the city from ISIS soon.

Operations to encircle the Raqqa city continue in the third phase of the Wrath of Euphrates campaign. Fighters of the YPG-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) have most recently cleared the Kerame town of ISIS gangs.

A bomb-laden vehicle of the ISIS was destroyed and several katyusha and mortar shells of theirs were seized during yesterday's clashes in the Kerame town to the east of Raqqa.

Fighters partaking in the operation spoke to ANF.

The fighters by the names of Şoreş, Merxas and Hogir said: "We have entered Kerame and liberated it. We will continue making advances and take the Raqqa city from ISIS. No force can stand in YPG's way."

SDF fighters are in the meantime transferring the civilians in the region to safe areas under their control. Fighters state that the civilians suffer no harm during the evacuation from their homes to safe areas.

Two locals among those evacuated by SDF stated that they do not get harmed, noting that coalition aircraft strikes only ISIS targets without hitting civilian areas.
