Italian trade union CUB calls for freedom for Öcalan

The 15 February 199 international conspiracy against Abdullah Öcalan will be protested in Italy.

Two rallies will take place in Italy to demand freedom for Abdullah Öcalan and to condemn once again the international conspiracy that led to his abduction on 15 February 1999.

The Italian trade union CUB said in a press release that it will attend both rallies, on 15 February. The appointments are in Rome, Piazzale Ugo La Malfa and in Milan, in Largo Cairoli. Both rallies will kick off at 2.30pm.

The CUB said in a statement: "More than 100 years have passed, essentially since the First World War, when the right of the Kurdish people to autonomy and therefore to an independent state was recognized. Yet to date, nothing has happened.

Distributed across 4 states (Iraq, Iran, Syria and Turkey), the Kurds, today more than ever, are faced with an uncertain future, continuing to suffer attacks, almost daily, from the Turkish and Syrian armies."
