ISIS cell dismantled west of Raqqa

The two terrorists captured by the SDF were involved in the manufacture of improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and operated a lathe facility specialized in producing weapon silencers and explosive devices.

The Military Operations Teams (TOL) of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), with the participation of International Coalition forces, conducted a joint and precise security operation in the town of Al-Mansoura, west of Raqqa, targeting an ISIS terrorist cell.

In a statement about the operation, the SDF Press Center said: “Based on extensive surveillance and continuous monitoring of the cell’s movements, our forces raided the hideout of the terrorist cell and successfully captured two terrorists, Abdul Sattar Abdul Fattah al-Muhammad, known as “Abu Amira,” and his brother, Muhammad Abdul Fattah al-Muhammad, known as “Abu al-Baraa.” Both of them are from Al-Mansoura.”

According to the statement, the two terrorists were involved in the manufacture of improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and operated a lathe facility specialized in producing weapon silencers and explosive devices.

"Despite ISIS’ ongoing attempts to exploit the instability in Syria to reorganize and launch attacks against our forces, civilians, and public institutions, our forces reaffirm their commitment to continuing security and military operations to dismantle ISIS networks, root out its operatives, and ensure the safety and stability of the region," SDF stated.
