‘Iraq should respond to Turkish violations and crimes’

Iraqi university lecturer Dr. Mohammed Felhi said that Turkey violated the sovereignty of the Kurdistan Region and Iraq in defiance of international law and remarked that Iraq should take concrete steps against the Turkish violations and crimes.

The invading Turkish state continues its attacks on the Kurdistan Region and Iraqi territories, met with the silence of the Iraqi and the Kurdistan Regional Governments towards the violation of territorial sovereignty.

Speaking to Rojnews, Dr. Mohammed Felhi, a university lecturer in Baghdad, condemned the Turkish attacks which -he said- violated the sovereignty of the Kurdistan Region and Iraq in defiance of international law. He pointed out that the Turkish state carried out attacks, committed the most serious war crimes and used chemical weapons in sight of global public opinion.

In conclusion, Dr. Felhi stressed that the Iraqi authorities should not only issue statements of condemnation but respond to the attacks and take concrete steps as soon as possible.
