International conspiracy condemned in Russia

February 15 international conspiracy against Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan was condemned in Russia.

The anniversary of Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan's capture through an international conspiracy on February 15, 1999 was condemned in Russia. Kurds and their friends gathered in Platnîrovskaya district in Krasnodar region and carried banners condemning the isolation.

Speaking at the protest, Tahîre Newroz, the head of the Kurdish Council of Platnîrovskaya, stated that they condemned the international conspiracy against the leader of the Kurdish people and that they see February 15 as a black day in Kurdish history.

Recalling that Öcalan has been held under aggravated isolation conditions on Imrali island for 23 years, an act that cannot be accepted in any way, Newroz expressed their support for the hunger strikes launched in Turkey’s prisons by Kurdish political prisoners and supported in many parts of the world. Newroz stated that the freedom of the Kurdish people cannot be achieved if Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan is not freed adding that the policy of denial and annihilation implemented by the fascist Turkish state against the Kurdish people has not succeeded until now and will never succeed.

Newroz stressed that as long as the struggle of the Kurdish people and their guerrilla continues, no conspiracy will succeed and this struggle will continue unabated until Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan gains his freedom.

On the anniversary of the February 15 conspiracy, Newroz called on the UN, CPT and human rights organizations, especially Russia, the USA, the EU, to stop ignoring this aggravated isolation and to determine their attitude towards the fascist Turkish state.
