Hunger striker dies of heart attack in Lavrio

Eşref Öz, one of the Kurdish activists on hunger strike demanding freedom for Abdullah Öcalan in the Greek city of Lavrio, died of a heart attack.

The alternate hunger strike in Lavrio camp, has entered its 114th day. Currently, the strike is carried out by the 30th group.

Öz was in the 22nd group of hunger strikers.

The hunger strike in Lavrio Camp started on 4 January promoted by the Revolutionary Youth Movement (Tevgera Ciwanên Şoreşger-TCŞ), the European Kurdistan Women's Movement (Tevgera Jinên Kurdistan-Europe) and the Kurdistan Cultural Center (Navenda Çanda Kurdistan).
