The hunger strike launched by Kurdish refugees in Lavrio, Greece for the freedom of Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan has left 2 months behind.

The 13th group took over the hunger strike on day 61 today, following an event held in the refugee camp.

Speaking here, one of the activists, Hayri Eryetmez, stressed that the Kurdish people would liberate the Kurdish People's Leader Öcalan by expanding their organization in every field. "We will break the isolation, we will liberate our Leader", he said.

The five-days alternating hunger strike in groups of 8 people was started on January 4 under the leadership of the Revolutionary Youth Movement (TCŞ-Tevgera Ciwanên Şoreşger), the Kurdish Women's Movement in Europe (Tevgera Jinên Kurdistan a Ewropa) and Navenda Çanda Kurdistan (Kurdish Cultural Center).
