It came out that political prisoners in İzmir’s Şakran T Type Prison, who have refused visitation against right violations for the past one month, went on hunger strike on February 5 to protest against  the Turkish state’s attacks against Afrin.

Prisoners stated through their lawyers that their hunger strike for Afrin will be joined by 4-person groups for one month. Prisoners said their action will continue in the event that repression, uniform imposition in prisons and the chaos environment in Turkey continue.
