HPG (People's Defence Forces) Main Headquarters Commander Nurettin Sofi remarked that the AKP (Justice and Development Party) has started to perform its games more openly while preparing for a Kurdish massacre. “This is the last battle of Erdogan and his government. Kurdistan will entomb Erdoðan in this war” said Sofi.

Answering questions by Yeni Özgür Politika (New Free Politics) paper in Germany, HPG Main Headquarters Commander Nurettin Sofi stated that all the efforts given for peace for the last 18 years have been exploited by the Turkish state. Sofi added; “Erdoðan and his government haven’t hesitated in applying all kinds of sneaky plans in the face of the peace efforts given by our Leadership under the most difficult circumstances and with a great sensibility and attention".

Sofi reminded that the guerrilla forces remained in a defensive position despite all the intentions of the Turkish state that has advanced its unrestrained attacks since the beginning of the year against the democratic victory of the people of Kurdistan. “Like everything else, the defense position had also a limit. “With the retaliation and deterrent acts we have developed after this phase against the attacks on the achievements of our people, we have revealed the massacre plans and games of the Turkish state and the AKP government. Erdogan's true face has been revealed.” underlined Sofi.

"Kurdistan mountains - Sofi added - are the most natural strongholds of the dignified resistance and fight for freedom which will continue for many longer years. With this war, we will show Erdoðan and the powers he represents that Kurdistan mountains can’t be destroyed with these air attacks and many other weapons and bombs.”
