Special operation police have killed two people in a house raid they conducted in the northern province of Bolu. The whereabouts and condition of two Kurdish students arrested in the raid remain unknown.
Special operations police teams brought from Ankara have conducted a house raid in Paşaköy neighborhood in Bolu. Two people were killed in the police raid on the top floor of the 5-storey apartment in Berberler Sokak at 23.45 last night.
State media has announced the raid to be an “operation against PKK”, claiming that a clash had erupted and one special operation police was slightly wounded in the clash. According to the mainstream media, citizens in surrounding apartments were evacuated secretly.
In other raids in the city, two university students were detained by the police. İzzet Baysal University students have stated they can not reach any information on the condition and whereabouts of their detained friends and that they fear for their lives.
