HDP’s Buldan: Erdogan is about to expire!

HDP co-chair was in Bingöl on Sunday as part of her election tour.

HDP co-chair, Pervin Buldan, was on Sunday in Bingöl as part of her election campaign tour.

Buldan, who was met by hundreds of party members in the district of Solhan, made a tour of the city together with the party’s MP candidates.

Speaking at the rally, Bingöl's only female candidate, Şefika Doğan, said that the people of the city would say "enough” to the government of repression.

Other HDP other, Nihat Aksoy, reminded that a vote for the AKP is a vote to more repression.

Erdal Aydemir stated that Bingöl is a city of rebellion and resistance and emphasized that AKP policies are actually abusing religion and that religion has never been so damaged.

Deputy Hişyar Özsoy also remarked that the government has been invited by the UK government which lends Erdogan a hand to hide an economic crisis which cannot be saved.

The crowd then watched the speech made by HDP deputy Idris Baluken, which cost him a 9 years prison sentence.

The people also heard a message sent by HDP presidential candidate Selahattin Demirtaş, who is held in Edirne Prison.

Later members of the Democratic Islamic Congress also spoke.

HDP co-chair, Pervin Buldan then spoke and said: “This country does not need the AKP nor Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The AKP has already begun distributing aid [a practice to buy votes]. This city has been condemned to poverty. In fact, the aid the AKP is delivering has been bought with people’s money. So, get the aid, but do not vote for the AKP”.

As for religion, Buldan stated that Kurds have not learned religion from the AKP. Indeed, she added, the AKP only addressed the issues of language, culture and identity in the country with security policies.

Buldan then added that “the AKP is trying to keep us under the threshold, but won’t succeed. We are entering parliament and we will be the people’s representatives in Parliament”.

Pointing out that the AKP is afraid of the HDP politics and the courage shown by “our presidential candidate Demirtas. The time has come for them to go. Recep Tayyip Erdogan is about to expire”.

Buldan then called on people to be vigilant as the AKP is on to steal votes and affect the voting process on 24 June.
