HDP executives Günana and Subaşı sent to prison

HDP executives Fener Günana and Ahmet Subaşı, who were taken into custody in the political genocide operation in Istanbul on 9 June were remanded in custody.

A number of people, including Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) members and executives, were detained during house raids in 8 districts on 9 June as part of the political genocide operation carried out by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.

HDP Provincial Organization executives Fener Günana and Ahmet Subaşı, Beyoğlu District co-chair Mehmet Sait Bor and HDP Provincial Organization security employee Mustafa Turgut were taken to the Istanbul Courthouse in Çağlayan on Saturday.

The Istanbul 9th ​​Criminal Judge of Peace sent HDP Provincial Organization executives Fener Günana and Ahmet Subaşı to prison, while released HDP Beyoğlu District co-chair Mehmet Sait Bor and security employee Mustafa Turgut under judicial control.

Günana and Subaşı were sent to Silivri Prison.
