HDP and DBP executives remanded in custody in Kars
A number of HDP and DBP executives who had been taken into custody following raids on several houses on 26 October, were remanded in custody.
Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) former deputy Şafak Özanlı, Democratic Regions Party (DBP) Kars co-chair Cengiz Anlı, HDP Kars provincial co-chair Ekrem Savcı, HDP Kars former co-chairman Cengiz Topbaşlı and HDP group vice president Ayhan Bilgen consultant Hayati Mehmetoglu, appeared at the prosecutor's office 11 days after being taken into custody.
After the statements were taken, the politicians were remanded in custody on charges of "membership of an illegal organization".
The detained politicians were taken to Kars Closed Prison.
