Kurds and their friends gathered in Düsseldorf to protest the AKP-MHP regime seizure of Amed, Van and Mardin municipalities.

Thousands of leaflets were distributed during the march that started in the city center.

A meeting was held at the end of the march and representatives of FED-MED, YJKE, Tevgera Ciwanên Şoreşger, HDP, ATIK and Aveg-KON addressed the crowd.

FED-MED co-chair Engin Sever said that the seizure of the HDP-run municipalities was Erdogan's answer to the message of peace shared through his lawyers by Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan.

HDP Representative Rıza Pir said that European states should see the policies of AKP-MHP fascism for what they are: dismissing the democratically and freely elected mayors of Kurdish municipalities. He added that in fact sanctions should be applied to the Turkish state.

The ATIK representative confirmed that people will be on the streets every day to protest this violation.
