France urges its citizens not to travel to Iran, Israel, Lebanon and Palestine

As tensions escalate in the Middle East, the French Foreign Ministry urged French citizens not to travel to Iran, Israel, Lebanon and Palestine this Friday.

French citizens should "refrain" from travelling to Iran, Israel, Lebanon and the Palestinian territories, the Foreign Ministry told AFP.

The statement comes at a time of war between Israel and Hamas since 7 October, with Iran threatening to strike Israel after Israel targeted the Iranian consulate in Damascus.

The ministry also called for the "return of the families of diplomatic officials from Tehran" and a ban on French officials from carrying out missions in these countries.
