The AKP / MHP fascist government has dismissed the mayors of the HDP-run municipalities of Batman, Silvan, Lice and Ergani. The co-mayors were detained and trustees were appointed in their place.
The HDP-run municipalities of Batman, Silvan, Lice and Ergani were seized by the AKP/MHP regime and co-mayors were dismissed and replaced by trustees on Monday.
Silvan Municipality co-mayor Naşide Toprak and Ergani Municipality co-mayor Ahmet Kaya were taken into custody.
While the municipal buildings are blockaded by the police, entrance and exit to the municipality is not allowed.
