The Supreme Federal Court in Baghdad postponed the hearing on Kurdistan Regional Government Prime Minister Masrour Barzani's objection to the distribution of seats in the parliament.
On 6 May 2024, Masrour Barzani filed a complaint to the Federal Court against the President of the Iraqi Independent High Election Commission, arguing that the procedures for the distribution of 100 seats in the parliament to the provinces and the removal of 11 seats allocated to the formations were "unconstitutional".
The session of the Iraqi Federal Court, which was held today to decide on the complaint of Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Barzani against the distribution of the chairs in the Parliament, was postponed to Monday, May 21st.
