Civakên Kurdistanî (FCK BW-BAYERN) held its first Assemblies Conference of the Baden-Württemburg and Bayern states.

Civakên Kurdistanî (FCK BW-BAYERN), the umbrella organization of the Kurds in Southern Germany's Baden-Württemburg and Bayern states, held the 1st Assemblies Conference.

The conference, attended by 12 councils and 3 communes, as well as representatives of many institutions, was held on 10 and 11April.

The conference discussed methods of building the system based on democratic, ecological and women's liberation paradigm.

The importance of the organization of parliament, commune, cooperatives and academies was highlighted in the debates that argued that the democratic modernity system should be built to counter the capitalist modernity system.

The conference also evaluated the role of the Kurdish youth and discussed about the concept of patriotism underlining that it does not simply means joining an action or being a member of an institution but also participating in a commune, cooperative, academy or parliament and thus participating in the decision-making mechanism.

The conference also underlined the need to continue the campaigns for the freedom of Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan.
