Families see their application to visit Imrali rejected

The application filed by families to visit Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan and the other prisoners in Imrali has been rejected on the grounds of disciplinary punishment.

The application filed by Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan's brother, Mehmet Öcalan and his guardian, Mazlum Dinç, to the Bursa Chief Public Prosecutor's Office to go to Imrali was rejected due to a disciplinary penalty allegedly imposed on the prisoners on 30 September. Ömer Hayri Konar's brother Ali Konar, Hamili Yıldırım's brother Polat Yıldırım and Veysi Aktaş's sister Melihe Çetin, also applied to visit their relatives in Imrali but their request was rejected.
