Suruç Families Initiative organised an event in Abbasağa Park in Besiktas. "For Justice, don't forget Suruç" was the slogan of the event which was attended by a large number of political parties, representatives of democratic mass organizations and citizens.

The families were carrying photos of the 33 victims of the Suruç massacre.

The opening speech of the event was delivered by Murat Budak, father of Vatan Budak, who lost his life in the Suruç Massacre. Budak spoke on behalf of the Suruç Families Initiative.

Budak commemorated on behalf of the Suruç Families Initiative the victims of other massacres, such as Amed, Ankara, Roboski, Antep and Kurdistan. "United - said Budak - we will win!"

Budak called for participation in the hearing to be held on 7 August in Suruç.

"ISIS carried out a massacre and took the life of our children. But they could not destroy their dreams. Kobane is still standing."
