European Parliament to vote Turkey report

EU Turkey Rapporteur Nacho Sánchez Amor criticized the Turkish state's invasion attacks in Rojava and Southern Kurdistan in the debate ahead to the vote in the European Parliament.

The Turkish state's internally oppressive and foreign occupation policy came on the agenda of the European Union Parliament.

EU Turkey Rapporteur Nacho Sánchez Amor criticized the Turkish state's invasion attacks in Rojava and Southern Kurdistan at the parliament's general assembly meeting.

Speaking at the session of the European Union Parliament on Turkey's progress report, EU-Turkey Progress Rapporteur Nacho Sánchez Amor said: "The EU will not remain silent about the latest violations of fundamental freedoms, regardless of Turkey's geopolitical role."

The Rapporteur also said that HDP, the third party of the country that won more than 6 million votes and more than 100 municipalities, risks being illegalized in a few months, and pointed out that the Turkish state also turned Russia's war against Ukraine into an opportunity.
