Support for the HDP in the 24 June elections grows by the day.

Support to the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) for the 24 June election grows by the day. After the Labor Party's (EMEP) statement released on Friday, the Labor Movement Party (EHP) and the Socialist Assemblies Federation (SMF) announced on Saturday their decision to support the HDP.

EHP: Together with the HDP we can remove Erdogan

In their written statement the EHP said: "We will work for Selahattin Demirtaş in the presidential elections. Together with those who have not given up the struggle for democracy and co-existence, we will join this election campaign with a fresh enthusiasm".

The statement also said the following:

"The general and presidential elections are very important because they provide a chance to take the majority of the parliament from the AKP. We will campaign in order to win support for the HDP candidates and overcome the electoral threshold. We can regain the dynamism of the last elections, when many sections of the society got involved. Our slogan will be against Erdogan, to say:  'We will not make you president'. We can get rid of Erdogan and the AKP-MHP fascist alliance".

The SMF also announced its support for HDP saying: "Erdogan's one-man all power dreams are turning into a nightmare and these elections will prove this. We support the HDP and will work to end the oppression of the Kurdish nation as well as the democratization of Turkey".
