Messages are continuing to arrive in solidarity with the HDP, which resists the pressure of the AKP-MHP government. Die Linke, one of the opposition parties in the German Bundestag, was the last to send its solidarity. After the group meeting some of its MPs opened the HDP flag and condemned the detention of the HDP politicians, including municipal co-chairs, former MPs and executives.

The MPs, including co-chair Bernd Riexinger, said that the recent detentions were aimed at crushing the democratic opposition to the Erdogan regime. Die Linke members demanded that the federal government under Angela Merkel take action to end the repression against the HDP.
