At the Kottbusser Tor in Berlin, the initiative ‘Solidarity with Political Prisoners’ protested against isolation and arbitrariness in Turkish prisons and drew attention to the hunger strike that started on November 27. The rally was also attended by relatives of political prisoners.

In speeches, the intensified violations of rights in the prisons in Turkey since the beginning of the Coronavirus pandemic were pointed out and solidarity with the demands of the prisoners was expressed. The hunger strike, which is carried out in groups for five days at a time, is directed against the isolation of Abdullah Öcalan and the prison conditions of all prisoners.
