Demirtaş calls on Amed people to leave streets

Demirtaş called on the people of Amed to leave the streets in the face of fighting scenarios.

Contra groups wearing snow masks started wandering and firing shots around after the armed attack that left the chairman of radical Islamist association Yeni İhya-Der dead in the afternoon.

At least 2 people have been confirmed dead in the attacks going on since the incident.

In a Twitter message, HDP Co-president called for calm and common sense, underlining that no one should conform to provocative statements spread on social media by fake accounts.

"Anyone  full of revenge and hate  cannot have good intentions, he warned, and stressed that those who hold political responsibility should act mature enough to foil such plots through dialogue.
