Coming to Ýzmir for the Aegean Region Expanded Meeting of Presidents of BDP (Peace and Democracy Party), BDP Co-Chairman Selahattin Demirtas said; “Our party is ready for elections before anyone else".
EVERYBODY SHOULD BE ASKED HIS OPINION
Concerning the new constitution, Demirtaþ said the followings; “The new constitution is supposed to be prepared with the participation of all democratic institutions, political parties and women's organizations. The opinion of everyone should be asked. It should cover Turkey's all ethnical and sectarian identities. There exists already a one-nation, one –language based constitution, the 12 September constitution, which shouldn’t be reenacted.
Concerning the mass grave found in Mutki town of Bitlis, Demirtaþ criticized the government; “The government is not talking about this issue at all. It doesn’t say a single word about the unearthed bodies while discussing on the artificial agendas made up through statium discussions or student protests”.
Demirtaþ last comments were about the “democratic autonomy”; “It is a model where people can govern themselves, where the will of the people will be representation. Turkey can achieve a democratic governance with this model”.
