The final hearing of the lawsuit filed against Dersim Co-Mayor Cevdet Konak was held at Tunceli Heavy Penal Court on Wednesday.

The lawyers defended their client and demanded his acquittal.

The court sentenced Konak to 6 years and 3 months in prison for alleged ‘membership in an illegal organisation’.

Mustafa Sarıgül, mayor of Dersim’s Ovacık district who is on trial in the same case, was sentenced to 6 years and 3 months in prison for ‘membership in an illegal organisation’.
