A clash broke out in Dörtyol county of Hatay between police and young people protesting against the trial of several Kurdish politicians.

A group of young people came together in Mezbahane neighborhood of Dörtyol/Hatay to protest against the KCK (Democratic Confederation of Kurdistan) trial of Kurdish politicians. Young demonstrators often chanted slogans “Rebel in Mezbahane, greetings to Öcalan”, “KCK is the people, people is here”.

While police intervened in young people with armored vehicles and panzers, young people responded to the police with stones. The conflict between police and demonstrators continued at side streets and ended with the dispersion of young people. Numerous gas bombs were dropped on the street during the clash.
