Farewell to Mam Zeki, a 'hero of the 21st century"
A ceremony was held in the city of Celle, Germany, to bid farewell to the KCK Executive Council and Yazidi Society Coordination member Zeki Şengali (Ismail Ozden).
Şengali was martyred in the attack carried out on Shengal by Turkish warplanes on15 August.
A ceremony was held in the Celle, where the family of Zeki Şengali (Ismail Ozden) lives.
The ceremony for Mam Zeki Şengali was attended by thousands of people, including his family, friends, the Kurdish Democratic Society Center, women's council and members of the commune.
Speaking at the farewell ceremony, various people remembered Şengali and his commitment to Kurds and Yazidi people, and described him as the great freedom fighter of the 21st century.
NAV-YEK co-chair Tarik Hemi, said Şengali was "a hero for the world" and "Mam of Kurdistan".
Hemo said: ”His struggle was the basis for the building of the Yazidi society and Ezdixan”.
All Kurdish organisations, like KJK, KCK, KCDK-E, NAV-DEM, TJK-E, KOMAW, TAJE, Hevgirtina Cîwanên Ózidî, Martyr Meryem Women's Commune, NAV-YEK sent a wreath to the ceremony.
