BDP Van MP Fatma Kurtulan asked for a parliamentary investigation for the relief of increasing Kurdish and Turkish young people who have declared conscientious refusal recently.

BDP member Kurtulan asked Speaker’s Office for a parliamentary investigation to determine the measures to be taken for the relief of young people announcing conscientious refusal.

Kurtulan recorded the followings in her proposal to the Speaker’s Office; “In accordance with the 98th article of the Constitution and 104 and 105 th Articles of TBMM’s Internal Regulations, we suggest and offer a parliamentary investigation to determine the measures to be taken for the search of the problems brought by compulsory military service, for sharing the difficulties of conscientious objectors with the public opinion and for the removal of their victimization”.
