MP Igor Zulaika: We support Abdullah Öcalan and the Kurdish people

MP Igor Zulaika of EH Bildu, which has a group in the Basque Parliament, published a video-message on the international campaign for the freedom of Abdullah Öcalan, stating the following: “I am here to demand the release of Abdullah Öcalan because we understand that his imprisonment in the prison of İmralı is against human rights. The conditions in which he is detained and the lack of communication with his lawyers and family are against human rights. But we also want to send our support message to him and all the Kurdish people. We support him and see him as an inspiration, a person who could be a peace broker. Therefore, we want to show our political support to Abdullah Öcalan and the Kurdish people and tell them that they are not alone, that we will keep struggling for them and we will keep our solidarity, asking for the release of Abdullah Öcalan and all political prisoners in Turkey’s jails. Thank you very much for your struggle. We will keep supporting you in the years to come if needs be.”

MP Oihana Etxebarrieta Legrand: We are with you

MP Oihana Etxebarrieta Legrand, one of the most important political actors of EH Bildu, also published a message. Oihana Legrand, in the video-message she shared on her official social media accounts, stated the following: “As EH Bildu, we once again reiterate our demand for the liberation of Abdullah Öcalan. We will continue to struggle together with the Kurdish people. We are with you. Freedom for Öcalan.”

Senator Gorka Elejabarrieta Diaz: Free Öcalan, Biji Kurdistan

Senator Gorka Elejabarrieta Diaz, a Basque member of the Spanish Senate, shared a message. Gorka Diaz, spokesperson for EH Bildu in the Senate, recalled that he had submitted a motion at the Foreign Affairs Committee asking the Spanish government to take a firm position on this unjust imprisonment.
