Activists in Paphos collect 2,214 signatures demanding to delist the PKK

A stand was opened at the beaches of Paphos, Cyprus, and 2,214 signatures were collected to demand the removal of the PKK from the EU list of terrorist organisations.

The signature commission established under the Cyprus People's Assembly to remove the PKK from the EU list of terrorist organisations continued its work in Paphos, Cyprus.

Members of the signature commission, together with Kurdish activists, opened a stand on the busiest beach of Paphos and collected over 2,000 signatures.

Commission spokesman Kamil Akalın said: "Tourists came and signed our petition. We visited all areas of Paphos and collected signatures. The number of signatures we collected in one day is 2,214."
