Internationalist YPG fighter Lorenzo Orsetti (Tekoşer Piling) was commemorated in Italy on the anniversary of his martyrdom.

FLORENCE

A memorial was held at the grave of Lorenzo Orsetti in the city of Florence. The commemoration, attended by Orsetti's parents and many friends, began with a minute of silence. Orsetti's parents addressed the crowd after which the monument built by the Municipality of Florence in a city’s park was named after Lorenzo Orsetti.

ROME

The memorial for Lorenzo Orsetti in Rome was held at the Basilica San Poalo Metro Station square. Activists commemorated internationalist fighters Lorenzo Orsetti and Anna Campbell.

Speakers demanded that the isolation imposed on Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan be lifted and the family and lawyers be allowed to meet him.

BARI

The commemoration for Lorenzo Orsetti in the city of Bari was jointly organised by Italians and Kurds. Rete Kurdistan activists paid tribute to the international fighter.
