Activists in 2 French cities condemn fascist attacks on Kurds

Youth protested the attacks against Emir Cura, who was tortured by police in Amed and Barış Çakan who was stabbed to death by a racist mob in Ankara for listening to Kurdish songs

Young people in Paris and Marseille protested the latest attacks by fascists in Turkey.

PARIS

Tevgera Ciwanên Şoreşger activists gathered in Paris suburb Villier le Bel to protest racist attacks on Kurdish young people in Turkey.

The action was organized for Emir Cura, who was tortured by police in Amed and Barış Çakan who was stabbed to death by a racist mob in Ankara for listening to Kurdish songs. Slogans like “Heval Barış is immortal” and “Kurdistan will be the grave of fascism” were chanted. A banner "Stop fascism in Turkey" was also opened by the young activists who ended the action with a minute silence.

MARSEILLE

A protest was also held in Marseille. A march started from Belle de Mai to protest the fascist attacks in Turkey.

A banner said “Don’t stay silent about the attacks against Kurds in Europe, stop killing Kurds”, was opened by activists who carried photos of Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan and PKK, YPG, YPJ and TCŞ flags.
