Activists condemn Turkish war crimes and Shengal agreement

The war crimes carried out by the Turkish state were protested in Marseille with an action supported by 14 institutions and organizations. The agreement on Shengal was protested in Bremen.

The war crimes carried out by the Turkish state were protested in Marseille with an action supported by 14 institutions and organizations.

Thousands of people gathered in front of the municipality of Marseille carrying a banner saying ‘Stop war crimes against humanity’ and ‘Stop Erdoğan and ISIS’.

TCŞ members hung a giant PKK flag on the castle on the route of the march.

Arin Mirkan women's council collected signatures for the ‘100 reasons to prosecute the dictator’ campaign.

    

During the march, thousands of leaflets were handed out and a ten-minute sit-in was held. Later, at the Vieux Port square, the march turned into a rally. The action ended with speeches by representatives of the organisations supporting the march.

The following institutions supported the action: Conseil de Coordination des Organizations Arméniennes de France - Sud (CCAF-Sud), Collectif Solidarité Kurdistan 13 (CSK.13), Center Démocratique Kurde Marseille (CDKM), Ligue des Droits de l'Homme Marseille (LDH Marseille), Marche Mondiale des Femmes 13 Paca (MMF 13 Paca), Mouvement contre le Racisme et pour l'Amitié entre les Peuples 13 (MRAP 13), Mouvement de la Paix 13, Nouveau Party Anticapitaliste 13 (NPA 13), Party Communiste Français 13 (PCF 13), Parti de Gauche 13 (PG 13), Solidarité et Liberté Provence, Union Départementale - Confédération Générale du Travail (UD-CGT).

March in Bremen against the agreement on Shengal

The agreement on Shengal signed between Iraqi central government and the South Kurdistan government with the ‘approval’ of Turkey was protested in Bremen.

Gathering in front of Bremen central train station, Kurdish activists reiterated that the agreement between the KDP and the Iraqi government on Shengal will never be accepted.

The speeches condemned the occupation of South Kurdistan by the Turkish state and leaflets were distributed at the rally.
