A Kurdish teenager was seriously wounded by Turkish police fire in Hakkari today.

Enver Turan (16) was shot in the head when Turkish police opened fire to demonstrators protesting killing of nine Kurdish guerillas in Hakkari.

Turan was taken to Hakkari State Hospital and reported to be in a serious condition.

The demonstrations continue in the outskirts of Hakkari. Police are using gas bombs and water cannons against protestors.
