5th anniversary of the Rojava Revolution celebrated in Paris

Kurds living in French capital Paris celebrated the 5th anniversary of the Rojava Revolution and saluted those fighting for the revolution.

Kurds living in French capital Paris celebrated the 5th anniversary of the Rojava Revolution with an activity event. Many Kurds and their friends joined the activity organized by the Democratic Kurdish Community in France (CDK-F) at the Place de la Republique Square.

During the celebration of the 5th anniversary of the Rojava Revolution, that commenced with a minute of silence, pictures of Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan, flags of the PYD (Democratic Union Party) and the Free Youth Movement and the pictures of the young people massacred in Suruç were raised.

 

Speeches were held by representatives of the the CDK-F, Free Youth Movement and representatives of the PYD in France, who congratulated on the Rojava Revolution, described it as a revolution of the youth and women, and said the following:

“The Rojava Revolution is not only a revolution of the Kurdish people of the four parts of Kurdistan, but it has also become the hope of all the peoples of Syria and the Middle East. Against the invasion plans and the bombardments by the occupying Turkish state and its gangs on Efrîn, the Kurdish youth, women and all oppressed peoples will fight heroically and render those attacks void. Thousand greetings to the martyrs of the Rojava Revolution and the martyrs' mothers."

The celebration ended with the performances of singers from the Mesopotamian Democratic Movement for Culture and Arts (TEV-ÇAND) in Paris, accompanied by the people with Kurdish traditional dance halay and slogans as "Long live the Rojava Revolution" and "Long Live Leader Apo".
