The operation to liberate Raqqa launched by YPG-led Syrain Democratic Forces (SDF) on June 6, continues in all intensity. Fierce clashes are taking place in Raqqa city center, mainly in the neighbourhoods of Amin and Hena.

The prison in Amin neighbourhood has been liberated, where SDF fighters frustrated an ISIS attack and destroyed two explosive-laden vehicles before they could reach their target.

During the clashes in both neighbourhoods, 48 ISIS members were killed.

SDF fighters have destroyed another bomb-laden vehicle near the Weteni Hospital, and taken an ammunition depot under their control.

Fierce battles are also fought in Rawda and Nehda neighbourhoods.
