180 youths from Raqqa and Tabqa join SDF

180 young men from Raqqa, Tabqa and surrounding villages joined the SDF for the liberation of Raqqa and the defence of the region.

After completing the training cycle called "Fighters Of Raqqa's Liberation" at the Martyr Commander Faysal Abu Layla Leyla Military Academy, 180 new fighters have officially joined the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).

During the 15 days long training cycle the fighters were introduced into the handling of light and heavy weapons. All fighters who took part in the training descend from Raqqa's villages, Tabqa town and villages.

The training cycle came with a military ceremony to an end, attended by many SDF commanders. The ceremony opened with a military show of respect and afterwards member of the SDF Command Mehmud Ismail congratulated the new fighters on their graduation of the training cycle, saying: "The citizens of Raqqa have put their trust in the liberation of their lands from the gangs and ISIS will be wiped out completely in this region."

Ismail continued stating that Raqqa is very close to its full liberation, stressing: "The people of Raqqa themselves will administer their city. Everyone must fulfil their duty of defending their homeland."

Member of the SDF Command Mehmud Ismail ended his speech with repeating the promise to follow the lead of the martyrs. The newly graduated fighters made afterwards the military oath.

The ceremony ended with a chant expressing loyalty with the YPG/YPJ and SDF.
