113 people, including two journalists, killed in Gaza in 24 hours, 22,835 in three months

According to the new balance sheet provided by the Hamas Health Ministry, 22,835 people have been killed in Israeli attacks since 7 October.

The Hamas Ministry of Health reported that 113 people have died in the last 24 hours and 22,835 people have died in Israeli attacks since 7 October.

According to the ministry, 58,416 people were injured in the Gaza Strip during the three-month-long clashes and bombardments.

In a separate statement, the Hamas Health Ministry said two Palestinian journalists were killed in an Israeli airstrike.

Mustafa Thuraya, a freelance cameraman for AFP, and Hamza Wael Dahduh, a journalist for Al Jazeera, were killed while travelling in a car, the ministry and rescue workers said.

Hamza al-Dahduh's father, Wael al-Dahduh, was Al Jazeera's bureau chief in the Gaza Strip and was recently wounded in an Israeli attack.

Wael al-Dahduh lost his wife and two children in another Israeli attack in the first weeks of the war. Mustafa Thuraya had been working with AFP since 2019.

According to the Committee to Protect Journalists, as of 31 December, at least 77 journalists and media workers were killed since the start of the Israeli-Hamas war in the Gaza Strip on 7 October. Of these journalists, 70 were Palestinian, four Israeli and three Lebanese.
