• Protest march in Batman: This resistance is the will for freedom 

  Masses staged a march in Batman in protest at the usurpation of three municipalities won by the DEM Party in the 31 March local elections.

  A delegation travelling from Amed to participate in the march in Batman against the trustee usurpation was stopped by the soldiers at the entrance of Batman. The soldiers had to lift the blockade after the delegation did not give up their protest.
• Police use tear gas in Batman, affecting a 5-year-old child 

  A 5-year-old child was affected by the tear gas thrown by police.
