YPG (People's Defense Units) and YPJ (Women's Defense Units) General Commands have marked the anniversary of the July 19 Rojava Revolution in two separate statements, both of which called on all the people to get united around the YPG/YPJ forces as the victory and freedom is near.

YPJ: We are one more step closer to freedom

The statement issued by the YPJ General Command stressed that the Rojava Revolution has been a women’s revolution from the very beginning, saying that the women in Rojava have never stepped back in the face of the dark forces and the gang groups which targeted the human dignity and freedom.

“The organisation of women on this basis was utmost important for the general struggle waged in Rojava” said the statement adding that the women’s organisation is growing more and more each day, and continuing to draw world-wide attention.

The YPJ General Command stressed that at its current historic point, the gains of Rojava Revolution have brought the Kurdish people one more step closer to freedom, and called for the enhancement of the Democratic Autonomous Administration that risen over the philosophy of Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan.

YPJ called on everyone to get united around the YPG/YPJ forces and added: “We announce hereby that we will use all the emerging gains of the Revolution in the service of the people”.

YPG: We are advancing towards permanent peace

The YPG General Command recalled in its statement that the Rojava Revolution left three years behind and added: “We are advancing towards permanent victory in the 4th year. We believe that we will gain success by developing the accurate strategy and tactics”.

The YPG General Command dedicated the whole success to the resisting people of Rojava and vowed to remain loyal to the people and to the cause, and to bring permanent victory. “We will again dedicate the permanent victory to all our self-sacrificing martyrs”, said the YPG.
