YPG/YPJ forces have launched an operation in memory of the people who lost their lives in the attacks by ISIS on Haseke during Newroz celebrations

YPG/YPJ forces have launched an operation in memory of the people who lost their lives in the attacks by ISIS on Haseke during Newroz celebrations. The operation, which was launched within the scope of the operations launched to cleanse the entire Kobanê region of the ISIS gangs is reported to have been a successful one, leaving 5 gang members dead. YPG also reported that corpses of 27 gang members were seized in clashes in the last 24 hours in addition to a large amount of ammunition.
According to a statement issued by the YPG Press Office, YPG/YPJ forces launched an operation against the ISIS gangs in memory of the “Hasekê martyrs”, killed in bomb attacks by the gangs on Newroz celebrations in Hasekê. Encircling the gangs emplaced in the village of Horik, to the south east of Kobanê, YPG/YPJ forces carried out attacks on the gangs, killing 5 of them and destroying 2 vehicles.
YPG further reported that the villages of Qazan, Baxe, Til Xemir and Derfilik Hill have been liberated from the gangs while the roads to Xerabeşk and Çelebi villages to the south east of Kobanê and which have strategic importance for defence have been taken under the control of YPG/YPJ forces.
YPG also said the corpses of 27 gang members were seized during clashes in the last 24 hours in addition to large amounts of ammunition.
YPG ended its statement by reiterating that the operations of the YPG/YPJ forces are continuing on all three sides of Kobanê.
