YPG announces the details of Turkish attacks on Rojava for one week

YPG reported that Turkish army has been conducting attacks on Rojava, West Kurdistan over the past week.

In a written statement, YPG Media Center announced the balance sheet of the occupant Turkish army’s attack on Rojava over the past week:

“The Turkish army’s attacks on Rojava continue since the first day of February.

Below is the balance sheet of the attacks over the past week:

One February 2, the Turkish army began to construct a road between iyaret village and the Tomb of Suleyman Shah in Ashmê village to the west of Kobanê.

Around 11:00 on February 4, one engineer, 10 soldiers and a panzer from the Turkish army crossed the Rojava border and entered Serêkaniyê’s Elok and Mia villages. After reconnaissance efforts, the group crossed back into Northern Kurdistan.

Gang groups affiliated with the Turkish army attacked the Belûnê and Maranez villages of Efrin Canton with heavy weaponry, tanks, artillery and assault rifles on February 5. The gangs shelled the village of Ayn Deqnê on the same night.

Again on the same day, at noon, Turkish soldiers attacked the villagers working their fields in Hemam village with heavy weaponry. The tractor of a villager was damaged as result of the attack.

Also on February 5, Turkish soldiers randomly opened fire on civilian settlement areas in Ziyaret village to the west of Kobanê.

Gang groups affiliated with the Turkish army shelled the village of Maranez on February 6.

On the same day, gang groups affiliated with the Turkish army carried out simultaneous attacks on the villages of Qitmê, Maranez and Belûne. One military vehicle and one bulldozer were destroyed during the clashes that broke out when YPG fighters responded to the attacks. Our forces also destroyed a depot belonging to the gang groups.”
