Youths from Shengal visit Qandil against invasion threats

Youths from Shengal visited the Human Shield action in Qandil and said they owe to Qandil, calling to enhance the resistance.

The Human Shield action launched against the Turkish state’s invasion attacks in South Kurdistan in Qandil by the youth continues on day 23.

Participants of the action continue receiving solidarity visits. Most recently, Yazidi (Ezidi) youths from Shengal (Sinjar) have visited the activists to offer their support.

Sirwan Raperîn, a member of the Patriotic Youth’s Movement that is leading the action together with Young Women’s Movement, held a speech addressing the Shengal youth. Raperîn remarked that Yazidis who have suffered from the massacre and genocidal attacks of the Turkish state and allied mercenaries, are the ones who understand the goal of the Human Shield action the best.

Speaking in the name of Yazidi Youth’s Union, Gerzan Azer recalled that hundreds of guerrillas had rushed to Shengal when Yazidis faced with a massacre on 3 August 2014. Azer said they owe a duty of loyalty to the guerrilla.

In response to Turkey’s invasion threats, Azer called on the Yazidis who are living in refugee camps and Yazidi youths to turn towards Qandil.
