YJA-Star guerrillas in Medya Defense Areas lit the 2022 Newroz fire. YJA-Star guerrillas wrote "Bijî Serok Apo, Newroz Pîroz" with the fire, then danced halay. The Newroz message shared by guerrillas who read poems on Newroz and resistance, said: "We celebrate our Leader. We celebrate Newroz with the resistance of contemporary Kawa, Mazlum Doğan and the serhildan spirit of Zekiye Alkans."
Guerrillas said: "As it is known, Newroz is the birth day of the Kurdish people. Just as nature renews itself every spring, we, as guerrillas, renew ourselves with Newroz. We will enlarge Newroz with the resistance of the oppressed in Amed prison and the determination of comrades Zekiye, Bêrîvan and Ronahî. As women, we will fight against the dirty policies against women."
Guerrillas jumped over the fire and clearly nullified the black propaganda by the AKP-MHP war government, which says that "the guerrillas are over".
The guerrillas' warm Newroz celebration proved the contrary.
The guerrillas ended the Newroz celebrations with the slogans “Bijî Serok Apo”, “Bê Serok jiyan nabe”, Bi can bi xwîn em te re ne ey Serok”.
