People’s Defense Forces (HPG) Press Office has said in today’s statement that the military activities of the Turkish forces against the guerrilla areas continue increasingly.

Regarding the drone activities over guerrilla areas, HPG gave the following information:

-Over Xakurke area of Medya Defence zones at between 07:00 - 12:00 on 15 July,

-Over Xınerê area at between 06:00 - 14:00 on 14 July,

-Over Zagros region at between 18:00 on 15 July and 06:30 on 16 July,

-Over Zap region at between 20:00 on 15 July and 02:30 on 16 July,

-Over Akdağ area of Amed at between 08:00 - 16:00 on 15 July,

- Over Martyr Remzi area in the triangle of Kulp, Lice and Genç at between 07:00 - 22:00

HPG stated that the Turkish warplanes also carried out flights over Martyr Remzi area at between 23:00 on 15 July and 02:30 on 16 July.

HPG went on in its statement by reporting about the bombardments carried out by the Turkish soldiers against the guerrilla areas.

According to the statement, Turkish soldiers launched a bombardment with mortar and howitzer fires on Kepê Mirişka Hill from Bilican military posts at the borderline with the Zap region of Medya defence Zones at between 12:00 - 13:00 on 15 July. The same day, at between 17:00 - 18:00, Kepê Mirişka Hill was also bombarded by the tanks from the Bilican military post.

On 16 July, at between 03:00 - 04:00, Turkish soldiers bombarded Mount Filleh area with heavy weapons from Gundikê Mellê (Balveren) military post located in Besta area of Şırnak, reported the HPG statement. Also on 16 July at between 12:00 – 13:00, the Turkish soldiers at Tepê Çete military post, which is located between Silopi and Cizre districts of Şırnak, carried out a bombardment on martyr Merwan, Martyr Şexmus and Kêlik areas in Heftanin area of Medya Defence Zones with A-4s and tanks.

HPG lastly reported that an intense military deployment continues to take place to the dam construction area in Farqin (Silvan) district of Amed. HPG said the Turkish army continues the construction and its military activity in the region despite the warning actions of the guerrilla forces.

Guerrilla forces carried out another warning action in response to the increase of military activity around the dam area at 07:00 on 15 July, leaving an armoured vehicle destroyed, while the casualties of the Turkish soldiers could not be verified. HPG added that the Turkish army removed parts of the destroyed vehicle with a crane after the attack.
