Death toll in yesterday's suicide attack in Suruç has risen to 32. Bodies of those, whose port-portem examination have been completed in Antep, were handed over to their families and seen off to their hometowns, in company with the slogan “Murderer ISIS, collaborator AKP”.
The victims who lost their lives in the bloody attack were taken to morgues of hospitals in Urfa and Suruç and then to the Forensic Medicine Institution in Antep where an autopsy was performed on each of the bodies last night. The post mortem examination in the Institution continued till the morning.
Following the process here, Erdal Bozkurt was seen off to Patnos district of Ağrı, Okan Pirinç to Hatay, Alican Vural to Samsun, Ferdane Ece Dinç to İstanbul, and Alper Sapan to Giresun.
Bodies of the other victims were taken to the morgue of the Cemetery Directorate near the Nakıboğlu Mosque.
CEREMONY OUTSIDE THE MORGUE
Families of the victims from across the country have rushed to Antep on hearing about the bitter news of the bloody bomb attack which targeted their children.
Thousands of people accompanying the families gathered outside the morgue where a ceremony was held for the youths killed on their way to Kobanê as volunteers for reconstruction.
'MURDERER ISIS, COLLABORATOR AKP'
Bodies of the other 24 socialist youths were handed over to their families here, in company with slogans “Murderer ISIS, collaborator AKP”, “Perpetrators will give an account to the people”, "Sehid namirin” [Martyrs are immortal].
The ceremony witnessed greatly emotional moments as families met the coffins of their children in tears and with laments.
Following the statements of DTK (Democratic Society Congress) Co-President Selma Irmak, HDP (Peoples' Democratic Party) Deputy Ertuğrul Kürkçü, SGDF (Federation of Socialist Youth Associations) Member Mazlum Demirtas, ESP (Socialist Party of the Oppressed) Member Dinçer Ergün, the youths were seen off to their hometowns in tears.
In the meantime, it has been reported that three other bodies are being held in the Forensic Medicine Institution for a DNA test and identification.
