Two YBŞ fighters martyred in mine explosion

YBŞ fighters Amed Kawyan and Bawer Şengal lost their lives as result of a mine explosion in Shengal region.

Shengal Resistance Units (Yekîneyên Berxwedana Şengal-YBŞ) Command released a statement announcing the martyrdom of two fighters.

Accordingly, YBŞ fighters Amed Kawyan and Bawer Şengal fell martyr after the detonation of a mine laid by ISIS gangs while on a mission in the village of Sikiniye on July 21, 2017.

YBŞ stated that commander Amed Kawyan from Viranşehir district of Urfa had joined the ranks of Shengal Resistance Units in the wake of the Shengal genocide by fascist ISIS gangs, and has taken undertaken several leading missions since, being a source of morale and motivation for his comrades with his revolutionary stance.

Bawer Şengal from a patriotic Kurdish Êzidî family also joined the YBŞ ranks with deep committment to freedom following the genocide of ISIS against Êzidîs in Shengal, with the goal of retaliating the mass killing and attacks on his people.

YBŞ Command commemorated all the martyrs of Kurdistan and freedom in the person of Amed and Bawer, and reiterated their loyalty to the martyrs. YBŞ Command stressed that martyrs showed them how to live with no hesitation on the freedom struggle, adding that building a free and democratic life would be their greatest answer in order to be worthy of the martyrs.
