A gun attack by unidentified person(s) targeted a patrolling police vehicle in Çınar district of Amed last night.

Police officer Mehmet Uyar and two people, Osman Çaran and İbrahim Turan, who were passing by the scene at the time were wounded in the attack.

The wounded were taken first to Çınar State Hospital, then to Diyarbakır Gazi Yaşargil Training and Research Hospital.

Police officer Mehmet Uyar and civilian Osman Çaran lost their lives in the hospital despite all the medical efforts made to save them.
